Sir, - Although the article by Abraham Rabinovich was written in a rather light-hearted manner and contained a number of humorous anecdotes, I found several aspects quite disturbing.
In attempting to give us a look at the many identities of Rabbi Moshe Hirsch, Rabinovich seems to give almost equal weight to Hirsch's smiling visage when he was photographed with Yasser Arafat. Hirsch's affinity for the arch-terrorist was profoundly different from, and of far graver consequence than, merely having his picture taken.
The people's collective wisdom enables it to distinguish between clown and villain.
